The Women’s Training Centre’s annual Valentine /Love Enrichment Program took place on February 14, 2025. The event kicked off with Rev. Ruth Okunade sharing her thoughts on the true meaning of Valentine’s Day for Christians and that the Love of Christ should be celebrated at all times between married couples and among us as Christians
The theme for this year was Helping the Helper in Love for Family and Ministerial Success, drawn from Genesis 2:18-25. This year’s guest and Model Couple, Prof. Ezekiel and Dr Olukemi Adejuwon, spoke on the topic by sharing key insights on how the husband and wife can help each other to be good helpers.

Dr. Mrs Adejuwon stated that the way the wife who is the helper here can help herself to be a good helper to her husband is to SOW Love. According to her, SOW is an acronym for;
S- Submission in love
O – Openness in love and
W – Watchfulness in love
On the part of the husbands in helping their wives to be good helpers to them, Prof Adejuwon counselled the husbands to REAP love. In his explanations, REAP is an acronym meaning to;
R- Respect their wives in love
E- Encourage them in love
A- Appreciate the helper in love and
P- Pray in love for them
The conclusion was that when wives SOW love, husbands will REAP love, “for God is not mocked, whatever one sows, is what they would reap” (Gal. 6:7b). A prayer session was led by Dr Kehinde Olusanya after which there were demonstrations of love through fun games and presentation of gifts by the husbands of WTC students to their wives with exchange of promises to be more helpful to their helpers and better helpers respectively.
The students and facilitators exchanged gifts, and in a heartwarming gesture bringing laughter and bonding moments, the program was brought to a beautiful closing with hearts re-filled with love, wisdom, and great joy to fulfil God’s purpose – it was a perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
