Rev Prof Nihinlola

The last general assembly of the NBTS for the 2022/2023 academic session was held on Wednesday the 31st of May, 2023 as Rev Prof Emiola Nihinlola’s tenure as the president of the seminary winds up, having served for 10 years.

Prof Nihinlola led the the devotion as usual that day. In his devotion, he mentioned three bible passages that have guided his work which are John 17:19, 1 Tim 3:1-2, and 1 Tim 4:15-16, emphasizing nobility in Christian service, and diligence. He reiterated his noble life theme: “ Hardwork is my religion; Christianity is my faith..” Thus, admonishing the seminary community (staff and students) to Watch their life, watch their teaching, watch their doctrine, and make sure they agree. He charged all to live a life of integrity and honour.

Reminiscing on his leadership journey in the seminary, he avowed that his 10 years of service has been 10 years of waiting on the Lord, renewal of strength, and revelation of the will of God to His people. Returning all glory to God for what He has done, and how He made funds available, he encouraged all staff and students to support the incoming President, Rev Prof S.Ola Ayankeye.

In the highlights was the presence of the graduating student of the Guffanti Missions field (a distance learning centre of NBTS) and the launching of the student body magazine (The Theologue) titled Vessel of Honour. Also, the Deputy President Advancement, Rev Dr. Gabriel Olaniyan and the Chaplain, Rev. Dr. Titillade Adetayo were appreciated for all they have done in their respective leadership position as they round up their service at the end of 2022/2023 academic session.
