Church History

Rev. Dr Humphrey I. Okereafor is a devoted pastor, theological educator, and family man whose life has been shaped by a clear and compelling call to gospel ministry. From his earliest days, having accepted Jesus Christ as his saviour, Humphrey sensed a spiritual tug; God’s voice beckoned him into full-time service, a conviction that drove him to pursue theological education and pastoral training with unwavering determination.

Humphrey’s love for Scripture and rigorous intellectual curiosity earned him a doctorate in Church History. Both scholarly excellence and pastoral sensitivity distinguish his academic work; he is known for integrating deep exegesis with heartfelt application. As a lecturer, author, and preacher, he champions the idea that theology must always serve love and that love must always be informed by truth.

Vision drives Dr Okereafor’s ministry. He envisions healthy, gospel-centered churches with vibrant worship, intentional discipleship, and transformative societal engagement. His leadership has launched numerous church/community initiatives, youth mentorship, and compassionate outreach, reflecting his belief that the gospel must impact every sphere of life.

Family is at the heart of Humphrey’s life: a devoted husband and father who prioritises spiritual leadership at home. Together with his wife, he nurtures an atmosphere of grace, prayer, and mutual encouragement. Their children, grounded in the gospel, witness daily the integration of faith and family.
