RESEARCH INTEREST

Childhood Education

Rev. Dr. Oluwakemi Olajumoke Omotunde was born on February 26, 1977, in Ogbomoso. She is a dedicated educator and minister with a specialisation in Childhood Education. Her academic journey began in Ogbomoso and includes a Higher National Diploma in Mass Communication from The Polytechnic, Ibadan (2001). Demonstrating a commitment to education, she earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Teacher Education from the University of Ibadan (2006). She further pursued theological studies at The Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary (NBTS), Ogbomoso, where she completed an M.Div. in Religious Education (2020) and a PhD in Religious Education (2024).

Prior to her current role, Oluwakemi worked in two private secondary schools from 2006 to 2017. Called to ministry in 2017 with a vision to affect the younger generation for Christ, she served as a Children’s Pastor at Estate Baptist Church, Oke-Afa, Isolo Lagos (2018), and Baaki Baptist Church, Ogbomoso (2017–2020). She also volunteered as a Children’s Pastor at Owode Baptist Church, Ogbomoso, from August 2020 to December 2024.
Oluwakemi joined the Faculty of The Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, Ogbomoso, on August 1, 2022, as a Graduate Assistant. She enjoys writing, traveling, and connecting with people. She got married to Rev. Simeon Oladele Omotunde on December 12, 2024.
