RESEARCH INTEREST

Church History, Missions and World Religions

Rev. Dr. Ayotunde Olayori Oguntade is called into pastoral and teaching ministry. He has served as Baptist Church Pastor for more than twenty years before joining the Faculty of the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary in the year 2020. He has served as the Moderator and Consultant of Ayo-Oluwa Baptist Association. He also served as the first Christian Education Coordinator of Oyo Baptist Conference. He is passionate on equipping younger generation for the work of ministry from his pastoral experience and spiritual exposure. He believes that historical study can help upcoming pastors to avoid mistakes of the past and be motivated to contribute meaningfully to the development of the church and society. Ayotunde Olayori Oguntade, holds DTh, BTh (NBTS, Ogbomoso), BA in Christian Religious Studies (Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo), MTh (NBTS), MA (University of Jos) and PhD (NBTS). He is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Intercultural Studies, Faculty of Theological Studies, the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, Ogbomoso. He has published some articles in both national and international journals and has some chapters in books in his areas of interest: Church History, Missions and World Religions. He is married to Alice Olufunmike, a Nurse by profession and the marriage is blessed.
