RESEARCH INTEREST
Rev. Clement Olutayo Oyelakin, PhD is an ordained minister of the Nigerian Baptist Convention and lecturer at The Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary (NBTS), Ogbomoso. He is Ag. Head, Department of Theology and Philosophy, NBTS, and Assistant Admin Officer, International Council for Higher Education West African Network. He served as a denominational cross-cultural worker for over a decade before joining NBTS faculty in 2022.
As an interdisciplinary scholar, he teaches at the Department of Theology and Philosophy, with special interests in systematic/Christian theology, Christian apologetics/particularity, Christian philosophy, philosophy of religion, religious pluralism, and Christian missions. In line with the Seminary’s core values, He has the passion of traning and discipling God-called men to be the best God intends them to be – viz-a-vis vibrant spirituality, academic excellence and competent ministry. In addition, He is committed to advancing the frontiers of knowledge in Biblical/Christian theology, philosophy of religion, and religious pluralism in Africa and beyond.
His philosophy of life is tied toward glorifying God in all he does, living others better than he met them, and making the world a better place. Dr Oyelakin is married to Rev. Deborah Bosede Oyelakin and the marriage is blessed with children.
