Ochenia Faith Opade, an Associate Professor in Old Testament Language and Literature is an ordained Baptist Female Minister. She holds H.N.D in Marketing from Lagos State Polytechnic, Lagos; a Postgraduate Diploma in Religious Education from Bowen University, a Master of Divinity in Theology; a Master of Theology as well as Doctor of Philosophy in Old Testament Language and Literature from the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, Ogbomoso where she is serving as the first and only female Lecturer in the Department of Biblical Studies, She is the Public Relation Officer for the Nigerian Association for Biblical Studies (NABIS), a member of National Association for the Studies of Religion and Education (NASRED), a member of Sacred Earth Ministry, a member of Pragmatics Association of Nigeria, a member of European Centre for Research Training and Development UK a liaison officer for Institute for Biblical Studies in Africa and a member of International Council for Education, Research and Training. Before her call into full-time ministry, She served as anti-abortion Coordinator and HIV AIDS Counselor with Chargmane Foundation, an NGO based in Lagos. She also served as Prison Ministry Director for the Lord’s Royal Servants, a Church-Based Non-Profit Organization. She had also served as Director of Lydia Auxiliary of Ogbomoso Chosen Generation Baptist Association. She is presently the Coordinator of Empowerment Programme for Lydia Auxiliary, Ogbomoso Baptist Conference. Ochenia Faith has a special interest in Biblical languages, and passion for bridging the gap between Egalitarian and Complementarian perspectives to gender issues. She has over 25 articles in Journals, 10 chapters in books, and 2 book publications. She is married, and the marriage is blessed with godly children.
