RESEARCH INTEREST
Rev. Olakunle Babafemi Ayeni is a Gospel minister and theological educator, passionate about teaching, serving with love, and modelling excellence. He is married to Taiwo Oluwadamilola (nee Omisile), who is also a Gospel minister.
He studied Computer Science at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso. Following his graduation, he taught in various capacities. He taught Computer Studies and Data Processing at Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, and Awka, Anambra State. Also, he served as a Pearson Exam Administrator and training instructor at AfriHUB ICT Institute, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State.
Prompted by a call to gospel ministry, Ayeni proceeded to the prestigious Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary (NBTS), Ogbomoso, where he earned a Master of Divinity in Religious Education in 2018. He served as Chaplain at Smith International Baptist Academy, Ogbomoso, between September 2018 and July 2020.
He joined the faculty of NBTS in August 2020. In addition to his role in the Faculty of Education, he also serves as an Instructional Designer and Online Theological Educator with the NBTS Distance Learning Centre. Ayeni holds a Master’s degree in Educational Technology from the University of Ilorin, with a specialisation in e-Learning, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Educational Foundations at NBTS.
