Rev. Dr Ruth Oyeniyi gave her life to Jesus Christ on January 1, 1988, and was called into the christian ministry after attending a mission awareness programme. She was trained as a missionary and served as a missionary for seven years before she met her husband through whom she joined the Baptist denomination. She was trained as a Christian educator at the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, Ogbomoso.
