January has begun on a balanced note of spirituality, teaching, training and skill development. January 8 Chapel service was an opportunity to reflect on God’s goodness and unending mercies as seen in Psalm 136:1 – 4; led by Dr Oluwakemi Omotunde. ‘God’s mercies are not exhausted in a single generation but are eternal’, Dr Omotunde emphasized.
December celebrants were challenged to think and thank: to dance, praise God and thank Him in song, prayer, giving of offerings and having an attitude of gratitude. Music ministers, coordinated by Rev. Akanbi sang, danced and led others to dance while celebrants filed out and praised God and others joined them in the congregation. Before praying for celebrants, Prof. S. Ola Ayankeye, President of NBTS charged all to add a smile when dancing and to choose to be happy always. Our prayer is that as celebrations have begun, they will not cease in NBTS and in the lives of all readers of this write up in Jesus’ name.
