The inauguration ceremony of the 2025/2026 Student Body Executive Council was held at the seminary on the 14th of April, 2025. Rev. Dr. Raphael Oparinde led the call to worship and opening prayer. The congregation sang the opening hymn, “Immortal, Invisible” (BH 43).

Charge to the New Executives

Rev. Dr. Gabriel Ademola Oyeniyi, Deputy President Administration, delivered a charge to the new executives, emphasizing key principles of leadership. Citing Philippians 2:1-7, he urged them to:

– Lead with integrity and discipline

– Seek Christ’s wisdom

– Understand their position as a trust

– Leverage the achievements of past executives

– Balance pressure from students with responsible leadership

Inauguration and Pledge of Office

The seminary president, Prof. S. Ola Ayankeye, formally inaugurated the new Student Body Executive Council, comprising:

– Oluwafemi Peter Abolanle – President

– Samuel Oyerinde Oyewale – Vice President

– Richard Tobi Olabisi – General Secretary

– Chukwuemeka Emeka – Financial Secretary

– Joseph Taiwo Amoo – Public Relations Officer

– Matthew Adewale Odewale – Religious Affairs Officer

– Oluwatobi Olayemi Afolabi – Sports Director

– Richard Mayowa Adeleye – Benevolence

– Deborah Oluwaponmile Ogunlade – Social Director

– James Ayomide Samson – Treasurer

The new executives took the pledge of office, and the prayer of dedication was led by the Chaplain, Rev. Dr. Olaide Ajeigbe.

Vote of Thanks and Closing

The student body president addressed the assembly, pledging to serve the community to the best of his ability with the support of community members. He also acknowledged the achievements of the previous administration. The congregation sang the hymn of commitment, “I Am Thine, O Lord” (BH 349), and Prof. S. Ola Ayankeye concluded the ceremony with a closing prayer.
