Children’s Day 2025 was a success as representatives of the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary Staff School, Ogbomoso were live on air at Parrot FM 101.1 during the NBTS ‘Moment of Encounter’ to speak to Nigerian children about their future aspirations and the reasons to guide their career choices.
The presentation, creatively delivered as a drama in the Yoruba language, was not just an opportunity to showcase their acting skills, but an effort to correct the distorted orientation children may have about career selection. Through their performance, the pupils portrayed some of the dysfunctions in society and responded by emphasizing what ought to be the right mindset in choosing a career.
They challenged fellow children to make wise decisions, not to pursue wealth or fame at the expense of others or the nation but to seek purpose and make meaningful impact. Their message was strengthened with scriptures, and the session ended with special prayers for the Governor of Oyo State, the President and the nation at large.
Special appreciation goes to the Headmistress and one of the teachers who accompanied the children for the presentation at the radio station. The school leadership also expressed appreciation to Dr. Oluwakemi Amuda and Prof. Olusola Ayo-Obiremi for jointly scripting the drama. Feedback came in from listeners from different locations, commending the children and the school for consistently promoting Christlike values and moral excellence. To God be the glory!
