July 24 to 28, 2025 marked another experience of The Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, Ogbomoso hosting the Christian Education Department (CED) of the Nigerian Baptist Convention (NBC). It was the annual Christian Education Conference for the West 2 Zone and the event held in the Multi-Purpose Hall. The theme considered during the conference was “Adam: Christian Education and Contemporary Gender Issues”. The ministers at the conference were the Director, CED, NBC, (Rev. Dr Mrs Foluke Bosede Ola), Rev. Dr. Jerry Akinsola, Rev. Dr Mike Babatunde, Rev. Dr Mrs. Esther Odunlami, and Pastor Temitayo Ojo. This conference brought together Christian educators and leaders from Ogbomoso, Kwara, Ekiti, Ondo, Oke-Ogun, Osun, and Oyo Baptist Conferences to explore the intersection of faith and gender in contemporary society.

The staff working in the office of the Director of Christian Education were also present at the conference. Through the syndicate groups and other opportunities, each of the Coordinators in CED gave an emphasis on each of the arms of the Christian Education Department of the Nigerian Baptist Convention: Sunday School Division (SSD), Stewardship Education Ministry Division (STEM), Literacy Education Division (LED), The Devotional Division (TDD), Family Life Education Division (FLED, Discipleship Training Ministry (DTM), and Publicity. We praise God for His Spirit at work through the Christian Education Department and the privilege God grants the Seminary to host this annual event.
