WOMEN’S TRAINING CENTRE GRADUATION & SEMINARY AWARD CEREMONY

June 5, 2026 was a day of celebration, gratitude, and commissioning as the two in one event of the Women’s Training Centre graduation service and the Seminary awards programme held. Faculty members, graduands, and well wishers from all parts of the nation were present in the Multipurpose Hall of The Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary Ogbomoso, not only to mark the end of a chapter, but also to honour the discipline, growth, and sacrifice that brought the graduands to this point.

The Women’s Training Centre is where pastors’ wives are shaped academically, spiritually, maritally, socially and in other ways to become a well-formed support base for their husband. Graduation is the fruit of late nights, hard work, and steady perseverance. Before the Award aspect of the programme commenced, Rev Mrs. Lola Akano exhorted graduands – especially pastors wives on what to do when others fail. She encouraged  them to be strong pillars for their husbands and to ensure they motivate their husbands to fulfill Gods call upon their lives. She also encouraged them not to indulge their husbands in ministry but to spur them and correct them in love to achieve God’s desired purpose for them.

The awards presented were not only that of public recognition of excellence and service but also of acknowledgement of spiritual and character formation. In all, 96 awards were presented to deserving recipients who were academically, spiritually, and morally formed. To the glory of God, they came, they saw, and they conquered. NBTS graduates are not just leaving with knowledge; they are leaving with a calling. We challenge them to wear it humbly and carry it faithfully. WE appreciate families and supporters for walking this road with them. Indeed, the prayers, provision, and patience of these loved ones made the day’s joy complete.
