The International Centre for Youth Ministry (ICYM) formally started in July 2022. Its formal Inauguration took place on May 30^th 2023 at the Multipurpose Hall of the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, Ogbomoso. The founder and former President of Youth Ministry International YMI USA (Dr. Randy Smith) was the guest speaker. The event was attended by the MAYM graduates and their spouses in a branded T-shirts for the occasion. The President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, ably represented by the Director Youth and Students Department of the Convention, Rev. Dr. Solomon Olawuyi James, led the cutting of the office tape assisted by the Seminary President- Rev. Prof. Emiola Nihinlola. Other dignitaries in attendance were Rev. Prof. Stephen Ayankeye, the incoming President of the Seminary; Rev. Prof. (Mrs) Esther Ayandokun- Rector of Baptist College of Theology Oyo; Rev. Dr. Philip Oyedapo- Rector of Christian Theological Seminary Ibadan; Rev. Dr. Mrs Olusola Ayo-Obiremi – Dean Faculty of Education NBTS; Rev. Dr. Ademola Oyeniyi – Dean faculty of Church Music NBTS. Youth Ministry International, as well, sent her greetings signed by Dr. Gary Almon  acting President of YMI and Dr. Bob Miller Chairman of the Board YMI.

About ICYM

The International Centre for Youth Ministry (ICYM) formally started in July 2022. Rev. Dr. Samuel A.K. Olaleye, one of the pioneer Master of Arts in Youth Ministry (MAYM) students, who just rotated off as the Director of Youth and Students of the Convention, is the pioneer Director of the Centre. Rev. Aderemi Adeloye, who also was in the pioneer class is the Administrative Officer.

To be a World-Class Youth Ministry Resource Centre Specialising in Training Youth Ministers, Workers and Leaders, who will win young people for Christ, and multiply Committed Disciples.

To  provide High-Quality Supportive Culturally Relevant Services to Theological and other Learning Institutions, through Biblical Resources and Strategies for God-Called Youth Ministers, Workers and Leaders in order to make the Gospel available to all Young People and Disciple them for Kingdom Growth.
