INCLUSIVE REVIVAL SEASON

It was a time of Spiritual renewal for non-academic staff and others who preferred the Yoruba edition of the revival holding in The Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, Ogbomoso from November 7-9, 2023. The Revival Service was conducted in Yoruba language, thus including all in the move of God’s Spirit regardless of level of education or position in the Seminary. Starting from 4pm daily, with the theme “Secure Your Glory”, based on Isaiah 4:5; it was a three day special treat.  Each day the programme began with powerful prayer, exhilarating praises accompanied with native percussion instruments and special rendition of songs in preparation for the Word and prayer ministration.

The revival preacher, Rev. Dr R O Olorunniyi, preached on the first day about God’s ability to restore a lost glory as in the case of Job in Job 42:12-17. The second day, he proceeded to highlight steps to take in securing one’s glory such as: intimacy with  God, living a righteous and disciplined life, and serving the LORD committedly. On the third day, he stressed the need to prioritize meditation, faith, obedience to God’s Word; being strong and vibrant in fiery prayer. After each day’s message, invitations for salvation and rededication were made and there were intensive powerful sessions of prayers with mighty manifestations of the move of the Holy Spirit.

Indeed, it was an unforgettable time of revival that drew the people in attendance close to God in seeking Him, calling on His name and rededicating their lives to Him; with hearts filled with expectation of the intervention of God to make their glory manifest and be protected by the mighty hand of the LORD.
