NBTS STAFF SCHOOL HOLDS INTERHOUSE SPORTS COMPETITION

With hearts full of gratitude to God Almighty, the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary Staff school community gathered for a vibrant and successful Inter-House Sports Competition on March 12, 2026. The day began on a joyful and prayerful note, committing all activities into God’s hands and seeking His protection, unity, and success throughout the event.

The sports field came alive as the four houses—Blue, Yellow, Green, and Pink—marched in proudly during the march past, displaying discipline, coordination, and ‘team spirit’ via loyalty to their respective houses. Their colourful outfits and confident steps set the tone for an exciting and memorable day.

The event was further enriched by the presence and participation of invited neighbouring schools, whose pupils joined in selected events. Their involvement fostered healthy inter-school relationships, broadened the spirit of competition, and made the occasion even more lively and engaging.

We were honoured to have our distinguished Chairman of the Day, Rev. Dr. Dotun Adéọlá, and Chairperson, Dr. Mrs. Fajobi, whose presence and support added great prestige and encouragement to the programme.

Pupils participated enthusiastically in a wide range of events, including the balloon race, lime race, relay race, fill-in-the-basket, fill-in-the-bottle, long jump, high jump, 75, 100, and 200-metre races for both boys and girls. The field was filled with cheers and excitement as each house competed passionately for victory.

Preschool Religious Education Centre (PREC) pupils also thrilled the audience with their energetic performances in the Bobo competition, fill-in-the-basket, and 50-metre races for boys and girls, drawing smiles and loud applause from parents, teachers, and guests.

At the end of the keenly contested events, the final standings were announced:

1st Position – Pink House

2nd Position – Blue House

3rd Position – Green House

4th Position – Yellow House

Pink House emerged as the winner overall, demonstrating exceptional teamwork, determination, and consistency throughout the competition.

As the programme ended, all glory and thanks were returned to God for granting a safe, peaceful, and successful sports day. The sports event not only promoted physical fitness but also strengthened unity, confidence, and sportsmanship among our pupils while fostering fellowship with our visiting schools. Indeed, it was a joyful and unforgettable day filled with colour, energy, laughter, and the grace of God.
