The President’s Cup is a significant annual sporting competition in the seminary, organised to promote unity and physical well-being among students. It brings together participants from different levels and groups to engage in friendly yet competitive sporting activities, particularly football and other recreational games, fostering teamwork, discipline, and mutual respect. The President’s Cup competition in the just-concluded academic session once again provided an avenue for students to interact beyond the academic and spiritual settings, thereby strengthening relationships and enhancing the sense of community within the seminary.
This report, therefore, presents an account of the 2026 President’s Cup. It includes the fixtures of the games, the four participating clubs, J. C. Pool FC, Imasogie FC, Dahunsi FC, and P. H. Miller FC, as well as the list of winners for each game, alongside highlights of key matches and an evaluation of the overall impact of the competition on the seminary community.

Six (6) matches/games were played in three (3) rounds from the opening ceremony on 10th February, 2026, to 24th March, 2026, while the final was played on 7th April, 2026, between Imasogie and P. H. Miller Football Clubs. Winners of the 2026 Presidential Competition for each game are as follows:
Football: Imasogie FC
Volleyball: Dahunsi FC
Lawn Tennis: P. H. Miller
Draught: J. C. Pool FC
100 Meter Race: P. H. Miller FC
400 Meter Race: J. C. Pool FC
Relay Race: Imasogie FC
Sack Race: P. H Miller FC
The enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and teamwork displayed throughout the games contributed significantly to the tournament’s success. The active participation of both male and female students highlighted the competition’s inclusive nature and reinforced the spirit of unity and cooperation among all participants. One can safely state that the training held on February 3 also paid off.

The grand finale was particularly memorable, graced by the presence of the principal officers and faculty members, whose support added prestige and encouragement to the event. Furthermore, certified referees from Ogbomoso Football Referee Society also joined the event at the Presidential finals. The presentation of medals and trophies to deserving teams and individuals was a fitting reward for the excellence, dedication, and hard work displayed during the competition. To God be the glory!
