Presentation of Award to the NBTS President represented by the deputy president

The Department of Intercultural Studies has urged Christians across the nation to intensify prayers for all the home mission fields under Nigerian Baptist Convention in order to overcome several challenges confronting these mission stations.

The department stated this while observing 2023 Home Missions Emphasis Week held at the Multi-purpose Hall of the Nigerian Baptist Theological Seminary, Ogbomoso also called on church leaders to include mission emphasis Sunday on their annual calendar.

The event witnessed presentation of reports from various mission fields in Guffanti, Niger State, Dukawa in Kebbi State, Cross Rivers and Oka Onisha mission field in Anambra State.

The Missiology Student’s Fellowship president Pastor Rotimi Akanni assisted by the Head of Department, Intercultural Studies, Rev. Dr. Akin Alawode used the occasion to appreciate the out-going President of the Seminary, Rev. Prof. Emiola Nihinlola for his immense contribution and unflinching support enjoyed during his tenure described Nihinlola as ‘Mission Minded President’.

The President of the Seminary, Rev. Prof. Emiola Nihinlola who was represented by the Deputy President Academics, Rev. Dr. Simon Ishola thanked the department for the honour and urged the pastors in training to make use of opportunities to serve at these various mission fields.
